Intensive Meisner Technique Courses for Colleges & Universities

We are delighted to offer Intensive Meisner Technique courses for colleges and universities.
This course is designed to introduce participants to the full Meisner technique, from the repetition exercise through to working with scripts. It will introduce the theory behind the technique, and involve participation in the exercises developed by Sanford Meisner.

The Benefits of learning the Meisner Technique

Improves self-consciousness
Enhances the relationship between the actors and helps the actors relate to the characters they are playing.
Boosts self confidence
Develops more truthful, impulsive and spontaneous performances
Takes actors back to the original source of their creativity and truth.

Brighton Meisner was founded by Martin Hobbs in 2009 after studying the Meisner Technique with Scott Williams for two years at the Impulse Theatre Company and RADA's European ACT, and following on with Kate Maravan at the Actors Centre, Mike Bernadine, Aileen Gonsalves at Arts Ed, and Larry Silverberg.
Martin is now considered the leading teacher of the Meisner Technique in the South of England and continues to act in film and theatre using his experiences to keep his teaching fresh.

We offer two Intensive Courses, one for drama students and one for drama teachers at college and University level.
